Meet the owner

Kathy built this venue around making people feel welcome.

Kathy Cannella bought Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue in 2016 after years of dreaming about owning an event venue. Her hospitality background and hands-on care shape the property.

A note from Kathy

The heart of the venue is simple: make people feel welcome.

Kathy helps families think through setup, lodging, food, photos, and the small details that make planning feel lighter.

The setting

More than a barn: a western town, saloon, guest spaces, and room to gather.

The venue sits on 4.5 private acres in Cleburne, near the Chisholm Trail Museum and a short drive from Fort Worth.

Western town and saloon

A western town and saloon built with materials tied to Johnson County history.

Event barn

A roughly 2,000-square-foot barn with heat and AC, stage, dance floor, sound system, tables, and chairs.

Ceremony and grounds

Outdoor ceremony areas, photo backdrops, fire pit, pavilion, and room to explore.

On-site getting-ready space

A bridal suite and western-town groomsmen's suite help keep the day organized.

Overnight options

A four-bedroom log-cabin guesthouse sleeps up to eight, with a Cowboy Loft for two.

Flexible food and drink

Bring food, choose a caterer, or ask for recommendations. Bar service has bartender requirements.

Authentic character

The saloon and town are part of the venue's identity.

The western town was built more than 45 years ago by a local cowboy musician using materials tied to Johnson County history. Guests can walk it, take photos, and see details you do not find on every property.
