We offer the option of renting the facility for several hours, a full day and night, or an entire weekend.
The Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue is privately owned & operated and is located at the entrance of the historic Chisholm Trail Museum in Cleburne, Texas. The venue has an old Western Town, complete with an authentic Saloon, a Cowboy Hotel with a guest room that sleeps 2 people, the Calaboose Jail that is used as the groomsmen suite, a Chow Line to serve food, and a Livery Stable which is the Banquet Hall/Event Barn.
The separate Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 4 full bathroom log cabin with comfortable rooms to accommodate up to 8 overnight guests.
The Guestroom comes with a fully equipped kitchen, common living area, and handy laundry room. All this on 2.5 acres of beautiful, tree-covered grounds.

We do receive inquiries and bookings up to 12 months in advance, however, contact us about any availability because we have no minimum requirement.
We do not provide linens but we DO provide 15 tables and enough chairs to seat 80 people. You are welcome to use what we have! · Eleven 8’ rectangular tables · Two 6’ rectangular tables · One 4’ rectangular table · Two round tables Our clients can use what we have onsite and/or bring in your own tables, chairs, decorative accessories, such as linens, glassware, flatware, plates, etc.
The tables and chairs can be setup in advance, in the banquet hall and/or the outdoor venue, whichever you prefer. You are allowed to move them to accommodate your needs during your event but you are responsible to return all items to their original location before leaving. You are also welcome to bring in your own chairs, tables, and hay bales, etc., with a 7-day notice and we will remove our items to make way for yours.
All we require is that you clear all tables, pick up trash and make sure all trash is bagged and placed in trash receptacles at the front of the venue. Just make sure to pack up all your personal items to take with you and return all items to their original location. Client must return facility to its original condition before leaving.
Yes, a $1000 security deposit credit card "HOLD" is required on the day of the event and is released upon satisfactory inspection of the venue the following day. Details regarding this are in the event contract that client signs.
Your rental time is for 14 hours from 10 AM – 12 AM (midnight). This includes setup, teardown, and cleanup. Overtime charges of $100 per every hour will be incurred beyond 12 AM. For overnight rentals, the same as above applies to the Cowboy Western Town however, check-out time for the Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse is not until 10 AM the following morning.
You are most certainly welcome to arrange your food preparation and service as you wish. You can use the Chow Line to heat and serve food (included in the rental of the Western Town) or if you also rent the Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse, you have full use of the kitchen. We do have local food service companies we can suggest, but it is entirely up to you.
No unprotected candles, glitter, rice, confetti, sparklers, fireworks, or silly string permitted inside the town or any indoor facility. No screws, nails, or duct tape on the walls or on facility items. Management must approve any unique décor ideas.

No, you must provide your own ladders. Standing on chairs is not permitted.
Yes, we are in the process of building a new bridal suite (Hen House) which will accommodate a small bridal party and is included when renting the Chisholm Western Town. However, if a larger dressing area is needed, then rental of the Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse is suggested. The Calaboose Jail is where the groom and groomsmen can dress.
The Chisholm Western Town has an outdoor kitchenette/buffet facility with sink, counters, and plenty of electrical outlets. If the guesthouse is also rented for the event, it has a full kitchen available for use with the guesthouse rental.
You may provide alcohol for your guest however, we require a TABC certified bartender for alcohol service. No alcohol will be served after 11 PM, no exceptions. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all buildings and within 20 feet of entrances particularly the guesthouse.
Yes, we have a guesthouse that accommodates 8 adults in the Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse and 1 rooms that sleeps 2 adults in the Chisholm Western Town available for your out-of-town guests at an additional charge.
We love pets and understand they are family members, so of course they are welcome to participate in your ceremony. However, for the benefit of others and their own safety they should be controlled at all times. Please contact management so that we may discuss the details of your request.
Yes, you may and there is no charge, provided you make an appointment and have the photographer contact us to provide their contact information.
Day of the event, rental begins at 10am and it ends at 12am midnight. Cleanup takes place between 11pm and 12am. Client and all of Client’s belongings should be off of the premises by midnight. DECORATIONS: Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue provides ELEVEN 8’ rectangular tables, TWO 6’ rectangular tables, ONE 4’ rectangular table, TWO round tables, and EIGHTY (80) chairs, which are set up in either the Livery Stable Banquet Hall or Outdoor Venue. Client can move tables & chairs to accommodate needs but all of them to returned to the Livery Stable Banquet Hall at the end of the event. Client may bring (or rent) own chairs and tables, bales of hay, etc. Client must give management at least 7 days’ notice of items they are bringing onsite. Decorations of any kind (even table linens) are the responsibility of the Client and not Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue. Clients should provide their own ladders, extension cords, lights, or any other type of tool or equipment for set up. Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue provides the bride & bridal party a dressing room, as well as the groom and groomsmen a separate room to dress. Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue provides a climate controlled indoor facility and various outdoor ceremony sites. Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue provides an outdoor kitchenette/buffet area with sink and plenty of electrical outlets to warm and serve food. If Client is also renting the Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse, then they have full of the full kitchen during the facilities rental, as well. DJ / Entertainment / Music MUST STOP by 11:00pm without exception. All Entrance and Exits must be left unblocked per fire code. A Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue representative will be available by phone or onsite during the entire timeframe of the Client’s contracted event. (817) 607-3927. ALCOHOL: All alcoholic beverages served on Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue must be served by a TABC licensed and insured bartender. All alcoholic beverages should be served out of the Brazos Rose Saloon but they can be consumed throughout the venue. Alcoholic beverages my not be consumed in the parking lot. All underage drinking is strictly prohibited on Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue property, even when provided by parents to their children. The serving of all alcoholic beverages must cease my 11:00pm without exception. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Client agrees to hold Chisholm Trial Rustic Venue, it’s owners, it’s agents, employees HARMLESS in the event of any alcohol related injuries to Client while arriving, attending or leaving from their scheduled event.
Client will be responsible for removing all décor and left over food/drinks the night of the event. Client will be responsible for clearing off all tables, returning tables and chairs to the Livery Stable Banquet Hall, and for gathering all trash and put into trash bags for removal off the premises. If Client is not staying the night at the Chisholm Trail Inn Guesthouse, then Client must remove all personal belongings, decorations, and garbage and leave the premises no later than 12:00am midnight. A $100 FEE will be charged for every 30 minutes beyond midnight. If the Client is also renting out the Guesthouse, then the same policy applies above but not applicable until 10am the following morning. Cleanup means restoring venue to original condition prior to leaving in order to avoid fees coming out of the security deposit FEE & DEPOSIT: Client shall pay $1450 non-refundable deposit to secure the event date upon signing of this contract. The balance of the rental can be paid monthly if needed, with the total balance due 30 days prior to the event. All payments are non-refundable. A $1000 security deposit credit card hold is required on the day of the event and is released upon satisfactory inspection of the venue the following day.
Written notice of cancellation must be received in order to process any cancellation. If written notice is received at least 60 days prior to the event, Client will not be held responsible for the balance of the rental fee. No refunds on any previous payments. If written notice is received within 30 days of the event, Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue shall retain all rental fees and Client is responsible for full payment according to the contract. In case of an unforeseen event, such as a death of immediate family member, bride or groom or other major event such as military deployment, a full refund will be extended upon verification. Failure to receive payment at the appropriate due dates will result in forfeiture of all contractual rights. Before cancelling your event, Chisholm Trail Rustic Venue will provide written notice to the Client after a 10 day grace period. If not response is received within 48 hours from Client, the contract will be cancelled with no refund.
